Introducing EMW3

You may know us from our former name, Elle Media, but we have relaunched our company as EMW3. The rebrand looks deceptively simple, but a lot of thought has gone into the redesign. Our new identity conveys an appreciation of our past and an outlook for the future.

New Name

We wanted to keep the letters E and M from our original name. We added the letter W for Women, as we are proudly owned and managed by women. The number 3 represents our 3 partners.

“We also own a media publication named BCCN3,” says Lydia Ma, Co-Founder and Partner. “We liked the parallel of strictly using numbers and letters in the name of our growth marketing agency.”

New Messaging

Along with the new name, new messaging was needed to celebrate our transformation to a full-service growth accelerator. EMW3 offers an integrated marketing approach backed by a growth spiral model. We unite brand marketing with performance marketing to drive incremental growth.

“When we started the company we had a clear vision of an atypical agency structure and culture,” says Sophy Zhang, Co-Founder and Partner. “Due to incremental growth, our services have expanded. Now innovative brands can align creativity, sales and media to empower business growth.”

To live and breathe our values, we need to find like-minded clients and employees. Our ideal client represents innovation and craftsmanship. We like clients that have an international focus as that plays well to our employee attributes. We want clients who view their agency as a partner in their growth and are open to a reinvented pricing model.

Our hiring policy is to look for outliers. People who are self-starters, straight shooters who will show empathy but not compromise their integrity. We empower our employees to fully explore their potential. They are not pigeonholed into silos. Their own talent, curiosity, and drive will enable them to create their own journey in their pursuit to maximize client ROI.

New Look

“In addition to our new name and logo, to complete our evolution, we are also launching a new Website, color palette, and typeface,” says Qian Cao, Partner. “Our new colors are blue and orange. It is bold and highly contrasted to represent our value of being vibrant and diverse.”

Our logo has been designed to show the letter E 4 different ways. This represents our philosophy of being flexible and adaptable, while still staying true to our core value of integrity. We selected Overpass as our font because of its versatility. It is widely accepted and available on different operating systems. Overpass is easy to read yet stands out from the typical Arial or Times New Roman.

Same Great Results

With all of these changes, clients can rest assured in our continuing commitment to providing performance-driven results. While we have expanded our skillset, we remain focused on using data to drive insights and make strategic decisions. We track success in hard numbers, but also view success as building a trusting partnership between client and account team. Clients will always have access to our partners and they remain in the loop regarding daily account updates. Our transparent communication clients have come to know and expect from our Partners, Account Team, Designers, and Channel Managers remains a cornerstone of EMW3.
